Written communication has always been the easiest way for me to be free and express myself. Writing has allowed me to escape from the world and explore new avenues in my brain. Through my love and passion for fashion, horses, nature and rodeo, I began writing for various publications in all industries, starting my blog in 2010 with my first column in Bob Feist’s, The Ropers Sports News and an agriculture column in the Porterville Recorder. For years, I have worked and freelanced for many publications - both print and digital including, the AQHA Journal (my ultimate goal), APHA Chrome Magazine, American Cowboy Magazine, California Sportsman Magazine, MJ Lifestyle, Rodeo News, Ropers Sports News, Cowgirl In Style Magazine, Quarter Horse News, Rock ‘n W Report, Cassidy Magazine, Western Horse & Gun, Horse Illustrated, The Plaid Horse Blog, and many more. Additionally, I have produced copywriting content for various companies like Rodeo Quincy, Noble Outfitters, Lucky Chief, and Kimes Ranch Jeans.  Over the years, I have been assigned roles for assisting the Managing Editor, worked part-time as the Lifestyle/Copy/Assistant Editor, as well as a Page Designer and Classified’s Manager. Through my writing and content, my ultimate goal is to connect and build relationships with readers, in hopes that they can escape, relate or be inspired by my work. my poetry book, COWGIRL CONFESSIONS

For over a year, I worked on self-publishing my first book, a collection of poetry inspired by the challenges and beauty of the western lifestyle. In February of 2019, I launched and released my book, Cowgirl Confessions (by Amy. C. Witt) at the Art of the Cowgirl event held in Phoenix, Arizona.  With over 40 drawings and over 100 poems, Cowgirl Confessions, a now award-winning poetry book, is a very raw piece of work evoked by many lessons learned throughout life as a cowgirl and experiences working amongst our sacred land. Art work was an extremely important aspect in the creation of this book.  The artwork that compliments my poetry is contributed by Stormy Baxley, Jamie Changala, Poyomi McDarment, Alexandria Vidaurri, and Hillary Elliott - all artists I personally know from my hometown in Tulare County. Through Cowgirl Confessions, I have touched many women around the world and have been invited to read and share my poetry at events in New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.
