After purchasing his first cowboy boots, the Canadian had a fire burning inside. Graduating college, getting married, and landscaping as his job, he was tired of being mediocre and reminisced back to the sixteen year old boy wearing his first pair of cowboy boots. Through many family hardships and business wins and losses, Liberty Boot Co. became one of the top boot companies in Canada. From 1987 to 1993, the genius, Tony Benattar had created a company that rocked Canada in full storm!
In January 1993, Liberty Boot Co. made its American debut at the Denver market. In 1999, Madonna showcased Liberty Boot Co. by wearing the “Twiggy” boot on her tour and in her music videos. Ralph Lauren, Jean Paul Gaultier, Bruce Springsteen, and Kid Rock were just a few fans flaunting Tony Benattar’s art.
Taking pride in the quality and design of each individual pair, Liberty embraces and believes in the old fashioned way of boot building. With 75 lemonwood pegs, leather soles, leather insoles, and carved leather toe boxes, Liberty Boot Co. provides customers with long lasting boots that hold their shape and not only become collectables but heirlooms.
