As a spiritual person, I love Ganesh. When I saw this shirt I about died…I'm pretty sure the whole store heard me gasp. It's a beautiful shirt and it makes me smile; I love how vibrant it is.
For those that know me well know that I love people and things of culture; I am drawn to it. I've always wanted to marry someone who held true to their culture and family traditions. There's just something about cultures that I am attracted to. To me there are so many types and importances of culture whether it be through art, love, food, fashion, a lifestyle or customs and traditions of a community. I feel like the importance of culture lies in the fact that is linked to people and their value systems. Turquoise is part of my culture on my mother's side…can't leave the house without it. As Americans, I feel we have many cultural traditions we may not always adopt. We have so many cultures that live inside the states that makes our country so special regardless of ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. People inspiring people, teaching people, and uniting as a community is a beautiful thing.
Some cultures I'd like to get familiar with and travel to very soon: Italy, Dubai, Spain, Bali, and Netherlands to start. I'd like to just pack a bag and go. I was so touched and inspired by "Eat, Love, Pray." At the time I read it, I related to her in so many ways that I thought I actually was her. Oh, the luxury to just be able to get on a jet and live life in other countries for a year or so….that's my goal…to get to the point where I could afford to leave for months at a time and live and travel…hopefully with someone I love, my future husband maybe…that would be more enjoyable.
